RNID

What does RNID do?

 Campaigning

RNID campaigns and lobbies vigorously to change laws and government policies. We provide information and seek to raise awareness of deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus in all sectors. And we seek lasting change in education for deaf children and young people.

 Training

We organise and carry out training courses and consultancy on deafness and disability. We also train interpreters, lipspeakers and speech-to-text operators and offer basic sign language courses to organisations and businesses.

 Services

RNID offers a wide range of services to deaf and hard of hearing people, including providing sign language interpreters and other communication support. We also provide care services for deaf and hard of hearing people with additional needs. Our Employment Service provides career advice to deaf and hard of hearing people across the UK, with specific programmes to help people into work.

 Support

Our services offer vital support to deaf and hard of hearing people at work and in their homes by providing high quality equipment and products at low prices. Our Information Line and Tinnitus Helpline provide essential support to thousands of people every year. We also produce a magazine, "One in Seven", which provides essential information on deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus.
