Elizabeth Finn Care was founded in 1987 as the Distressed Gentlefolk's Aid Association. People who come to Elizabeth Finn Care are coping with unexpected or sudden changes in their life and the financial hardship that comes as a result. Typically, the people we help have been affected by ill health, disability or marital breakdown. Since mid-2008, we are increasingly helping people who are struggling financially after redundancy.
Elizabeth Finn Care supports people across the UK and Ireland. We estimate that are approximately 4.3 million adults in the UK and approximately 300, 000 adults in the Republic of Ireland who could be eligible for support from Elizabeth Finn Care.
Since it's inception, Elizabeth Finn Care has given over £130, 000, 000 to those in need. Our tailor-made packages include regular financial help as well as assistance with mobility, house and home repairs, transport and travel, back to work education and training and general help around the home. As well as financial assistance, we also provide emotional support through our team of dedicated caseworkers and 300 nationwide volunteers.
