The Charities Consortium I.T. Directors Group is composed of the Heads of Information Systems/Information Technology from the major U.K. Charities and exists to further the mutual aims of its members and to promote our interests. Our principal activities are:

  • To exchange information and experience on the best industry practice, and to encourage this best practice across the sector.
  • To keep in touch with the latest technology and share our experiences of it.
  • To evaluate suppliers and consultants and share our experiences of them.
  • To exchange information about purchasing issues and to optimise buying potential across our industry sector.
  • To seek commercial benefit on behalf of all members of the group.

The Charities Consortium I.T. Directors Group has no affiliations to any commercial companies whatsoever, although we may invite industry representatives to our meetings to provide information to our members. The committee members and leaders of the Group are unpaid and freely give of their own time and resources. Neither members of the committee (nor any member) is to use the name or membership of The Charities Consortium I.T. Directors Group to receive personal gratuities or any other personal benefit from any source.

Our annual conference in 2008 will again be held at Hayley Conference Centre, Ettington Chase, Stratford-Upon-Avon from Wednesday October 8th to Friday 10th.

Members please note that we are holding the next quarterly meeting on June 2nd at the BCS offices at 5, Southampton Street, WC2E 7HA (Note change of venue) 9am(coffee) for 9.30 start. Finish with buffet lunch. DO come. Agenda details will be posted in the member forum, but will include a session on videoconferencing, plus the 'launch' of our new website, the first detailed description of the new KPI/Benchmarking project and the second draft of the CCitDG annual conference programme.
